After thinking about what a new political party would "look Like" in America, i realized after this story that it really does matter what the part looks like. If you can appear to be the perfect person for the job then, apparently, you are. Warm and fuzzy with a great family and no problems. You have done nothing wrong in your past and you can answer every question with a smile. Is this really what the American People want? God i hope not.
I totally see where you're coming from. Yes, it's nice he has a dog, but in the grand scheme of what's going on in the world right now, who cares? There are a few decent news sources that don't report senseless material. I highly recommend www.therealnews.com - they have excellent reporting and it's completely viewer funded; so even if they wanted to, they wouldn't waste their time with this stuff.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is unfortunate, but there are many people out there who would prefer to focus on trivial matters as opposed to tangible issues. Some folks receive their political content through various sound bites, and perception seems to be more important than reality. Stories like this are perpetuated because people are interested in fluff, and media outlets are simply giving the people what they want.
